What I really love about Chris Evans’ portrayal of Steve Rogers is such simple body language choices like the one above. In the top shot, he’s relaxed, at ease, talking business, which is fine.

But when Steve is confronted by an attractive woman making a direct move on him, he actually almost wheezes, like he would have done back in the day, trying to catch his breath.

He hunches up, folds down, retreating back into the shape of the “little guy”, because he isn’t used to being approached like this, and it kind of intimidates him a lot.

And that rubbing his forehead thing? That’s Steve’s anxiety tell. He does it a lot. Especially when he’s pushed into a situation where he’s incredibly uncomfortable and nervous and out and out panicking. He did it before Bucky threw him at his double-date.

Such little motions make the performance perfect.

ACCURATE

this is kinda late but if you’re doing it can i have tony trying to woo steve but hes not sure how to, so he asks steve for advice on wooing someone and steve is hella jealous and heartbroken at the fact that tony is so in love with someone that he is tryna woo them and just both of them being morons please?

After asking his team for advice on wooing Steve, Tony comes to the conclusion that the Avengers are a bunch of weirdos with emotional problems and trust issues.

Honestly, he knew it going in, he just wasn’t expecting it to be this bad.

When Clint suggests spelling ‘DO YOU WANT TO MAKE OUT’ in flaming arrows, Tony cracks and calls his sane friends, both of whom sigh at him and give him advice and tell him to be really, really careful how he goes about this.

Tony takes their advice, combines it with his team’s, and then shucks all of them and corners Steve after breakfast.

Steve opens his mouth to ask Tony why he hasn’t left with the others, and Tony cuts him off with, “Hypothetically, how would you woo someone?”

Fanfic writers are the unsung heroes of the Internet

It always amazes me on how much effort and time fanfic writers will put into a story or even just a chapter. Just imagine writing an AU on something they know nothing about so they have to research the history of a different country, look up the rules and point system of a sport they have never played, or study and learn a subject they don’t know much about just because they wrote about a character who is good at marine biology or something.

It is amazing the amount of time and care that is put into writing each chapter just so other people can read their work for free. Fanfic authors don’t expect the readers to pay them for their work, all they would like is a comment and a like on their chapters to tell them that the reader likes their writing and story.

I wanted to write this as an appreciation post to all the amazing fanfic authors out there because without them people wouldn’t have countless hours of free entertainment.
